Long story short, my family and I had an EXTREMELY difficult time getting approved for a mortgage because frankly short-sighted lenders just couldn't get past the fact that I earn my income on a project-by-project basis (and this was the case despite the fact that I have a credit score over 750, had enough for at least a 20 percent down payment and have been consistently paying the bills for YEARS doing the kind of work I do...just the way it is post-mortgage crisis). At any rate, after getting rejection after rejection, my realtor recommended that I contact Roland Gomez and his team because they are very "creative." Well now that the process is through, I will enthusiastically second what my realtor said and counsel anyone who will listen that Team Gomez is about as creative, professional and driven as a lending team can be. Unlike other lenders, who just panicked and jumped ship over one detail of my profile, Team Gomez had the vision and good business sense to see the OVERALL picture of our situation. And the end result is that my family and I are now in a house we love with a mortgage payment that we will have no problem paying. So while I obviously can't guarantee anything to anyone, I would highly recommend contacting Roland Gomez and his team if you're currently looking to get a mortgage. And coming from my angle, here, I'm particularly speaking to those of you who are frankly strong candidates for mortgages but are having a hard time getting approved merely because you don't fit into "the system" post-mortgage crisis.
