Personally, Loan Officers are a dime a dozen. So, when I was about to set foot in the world of home ownership, I found it paramount to make a wise well-informed decision on who was going to help my Wife and I through this process. After much research -reading reviews and discussions with loan officers - John was my clear choice. Two home loans and one investment loan later, it's safe to say John is our "loan guy", and his team is phenomenal. We recently closed on our home in Minnesota in October '25. Over the course of my three loans with John, here's my observations: 1) Wealth of knowledge - I always want to know my options. All of my loans with John, I've presented him with a different set of financial circumstances. He provides me with at minimum 5 options best suited for my particular circumstance. He educates me. He shows incredible patience with my many questions. He's enthusiastic. He cares. IE - This most recent loan completed, I wasn't quite grasping a couple of the options presented. John immediately scheduled a facetime call where he wrote down and explained line by line, item by item the differences between the two loans. 2) Great Rates - Through my own research I've learned advertised rates do not paint the whole picture. Discount points, APR, Lender credits all need to be considered to understand what you are truly getting. John is transparent in his education of true loan costs. John is a mortgage broker which I find is ESSENTIAL in finding the best rate possible. From his wide list of potential loan companies to choose from, it's all about who can provide the best product at the best rate - it's as simple as that - no bias involved. Knowing his company is a brokerage and uses this approach puts me at ease. 3) Smooth transactions - No way around it, buying is stressful - exciting, but stressful. Every transaction I have done with John has been a smooth operation. His transaction portal for uploading documents is seamless. The team he has assembled to help process the loan (insurance binders, bank statements, title company communication & follow-up) from start to finish has been a great experience. 4) Responsiveness - When I contact John or anyone from his team via cell or email, regardless of time of day, within minutes without fail, there is a response. They value my time and are so efficient at what they do - I truly appreciate that. John is a true professional and expert at what he does. I could not be more satisfied with his level of service and commitment to doing what's best for me - he's proven this every time without fail. This is just one guy's opinion. Learning from past real estate experiences, I strongly encourage you to do your own due diligence.
